This morning north road ride will go down as one of the hardest of the year,there was over 100 riders out and the wind was blowing at about 40-50kph,we had a tail wind all the way too mordiallioc as we turned at the roundabout it was like hitting a brick wall,2 km up the road and the bunch had already lost about 20 riders and there was only one girl left
that girl was nikki matthews,well for the record im known as the painter ,but i also go under the name of the NORTH RD HARDMAN...:---]...a title that explains its self and was well earnt by me!
Nikki managed too complete the ride and by the end there was only 25-30 riders left out of the 100+,so from this day on Nikki Matthews will be known as the "NORTH ROAD HARD WOMAN",so for all you wanna be champions at north road
treat the girl's with respect because they are all trying there best.............;-]....if not piss off too the 6am ride

What too wear while cycling.

One of the biggest dilemma's facing any cyclist
is what too wear.
Most cyclist spend a small fortune on there cycle clothing
every cyclist wants something that stands out in the bunch
and catches the eye,most bunch rides on any day of the week
look like a fashion parade on wheels.Each morning before i head out i lay my clothes out and try too match the tops with the knicks,socks with my cap,etc etc,it may take two or three changes before i head out,then for a final check i'll look in the mirror and say too myself DOES MY ARSE LOOK TOO BIG IN THESE KNICKS,....;-] ...If it does i go for a smaller size knicks
at least you will feel skinnier,well in your mind you will !

"Empty Heads At North Road"

It's 5-45 am and there would be approximately 100 riders
at north road,it's 4 deg's and freezing,the north road ride is meant too be a fast training ride not a race,but for some unknown reason there seems too be a small group of riders
that leave there brains at home and are prepared too put every one at risk. "I call these people empty heads".

It's pitch black, very hard too see,and the pace is very high
these empty heads pass in the gutter when there is no room,ride between wheels,ride out in the traffic and most of the time they can be seen talking and not concentrating on the wheel in front of them,so too any risk takers who do north road ride remember it's not only you that may end up in a hospital
think of your fellow riders.


Any one who disagrees with the above you will find a picture
of me at the bottom of the blog that looks like an arse hole read the instructions and do it.

North road 5-45am 23rd May
it's 5degs and freezing and the bunch is noticably smaller
than ususal,these cold mornings separate the men from the
boy's,there are two types of cyclist,hard one's and soft ones
you will see the hard one's out in all types of weather,they are generally made up of been married and now divorced cyclist,
single cyclist and cyclist with no other life except cycling,i guess i fall in last two catergories.

Then we have the soft cyclist you will never see them out on
mornings anything belowe 15degs or when there is one drop of rain on the road because there $12000 road bikes have never seen rain,this paticular group generally park there cars outside cafe racer take there bikes off the roof rack and walk in to the coffee shop as if they have been out riding.
To be part of this group you have to be a multi millionaire and
drive no less than a bmw.

Any how i know where i'd rather be out with the hard bunch where the real cyclist are and we all have the same interest
TALKING BULLSHIT!

Any how enough of my bullshit for now i'm off too
get a coffee,wash my bike and get ready for tomorrow
mornings ride.

Bunch etiquette for fast day's and slow day's
Slow Day's
1..Ride no faster than 30k's per hour
2..Ride two abreast and no touching breast's !;-]
3..Stop at all red lights
4..no spitting,no burping and no farting
5..And in general help your fellow cyclist when they are in trouble
6..If you don't obey the above rules you will be dealt by the bunch police
which is normally a verbal back lash.

Fast Day's
1..Stop at red lights,Ride two abreast ,Apart from that anything goes
2..Head down arse up and chew the the handle bars
3..Farting is allowed
4..Dribbling from every orifice is common practice when under pressure
5..All girl's are to be treated equally
6..Verbal abuse is ok as long as it's not directed at me
